On June 6 and 7, the annual EC2/BIG-NSE retreat took place at the picturesque Hotel Döllnsee, located two hours from Berlin. With only a couple of students unable to attend, nearly all PhD students and several supervisors participated. The weather cooperated, offering pleasant conditions for the event, which was held in person with around 45 attendees.
The retreat featured impressive presentations from PhD students of the WS20, WS21 and WS22 batches, leading to stimulating discussions. Please take a look at the complet program and view photos of the event. And finally, mark your calendars: next year's retreat is set for June 12-13, 2025!
The doctoral program the Einstein Center of Catalysis (EC²)/ BIG-NSE supports PhD education by recruiting and supporting excellent PhD students from all over the world. The mission of the doctoral program is to overcome the frontiers of classical disciplines in catalysis.
