This workshop offers an introduction into good research practice with a focus on dealing with research data. In a hands-on approach, the participants will discuss research dilemmas, based on recurring constellations of conflict cases handled at the German Research Ombudsman. Deliberating these example cases from multiple perspectives, the participants will not only familiarise themselves with the rules of good research practices, but also learn about prevention and where to turn to if they need help or advice in case of conflict. The aim of this workshop is to foster research integrity by teaching its participants responsible research practices as well as empowering them for potential future conflicts.
